October!!!

Needless to say, October was one of the busiest months I've had for the entire year!  I will be posting a class schedule for November and December at least 2 weeks in advance of the classes.  I have been working on ideas for the Copic intermediate class but still need to tie it all up into a class.  I've also just gotten in some great new products that I can't wait to start playing with... like the Elizabeth Craft Designs and the Sizzix jewelry dies!!!  I'll be making some projects with these items soon and offering classes.  Keep posted for updates or email me if you have any questions.

Elizabeth Craft Designs

Just got the order in from Elizabeth Craft Designs!  This company has some great product that makes a super clean card design.  No stamping required and beautiful results! These cards were made using Elizabeth Craft Designs sticker products.  Along with some glitter and double sided tape, they are easy and fun to make!

It's time for the big vendor fair!

I'll be attending the Collins Group Vendor Fair in Houston this weekend.  I have a class on Friday where we will be making the Quick Flip She Chef Recipe Album!  I know everyone will enjoy this class.  On Saturday, we will be having a huge make & take frenzy.  Our make & take will be the Christmas Spice Cat easel card.  Then on Sunday we will have an all day Trade Show for all the store owners that are attending.  My friend Karen will be joining me to help out.  I know we'll have a great time!  We've been working on some new samples for the show.  I'll post them next week on Thursday.  I also have a couple new samples from Loralie and a few from my friends, Lynn & Nadine.  There are some really cute cards!

The new She Chef set from Loralie Designs

This is a recipe book I created for a class using the new She Chef set.  Mat board was used for the covers.  I wanted the front to look like a cafe'.  I used Graphic 45 Miss Manners patterned paper.  I also used the brick embossing folder from Tim Holtz on the red and the cream strip just above it.  The red trim piece at the top is from the Sizzix Album with Tabs Pro Die.  I also used the tabbed index cards from the die on the inside of the album.  As it says on the front... this recipe book is "just desserts".

Here's this weeks project!

This week I'm working on some Christmas ideas!  Here is the new Spice Cats set from Loralie Designs turned into a Christmas Easel Card...

The presents and Santa hat are from the Christmas II set.  These can be added to any set to add a little Christmas cheer!!!

This week in a nutshell

So this has been a busy month for me, this week especially.   I'm working on the vendor fair for the Collins Group and Loralie Designs.  I will be teaching a class this time.  I've come up with a recipe album I know they will all like!  I've used the new She Chef set for the front and made the quick flip pages for the inside.  I'll be revealing this project after the class in October.  It's just a couple weeks away!

Recipe Album Class

We had a great time at the Recipe Album class last night!  We even included a mini class with the Copic markers as a bonus.  They loved the finished albums.

Ready for class!

It's been a busy week getting ready for the Recipe Book class.  There are a lot of pieces to this one but it is soooo cute!!! I'm still waiting on my Loralie Designs order to come in with the stamps and the fabric.  I should get it by tomorrow.  My class is full!  With the kit orders and the ladies coming to the class, I've used all my class materials!  I'll have to order more if I get any more kit orders.  That's good!

More Chef!

Since it has been a few weeks since I've posted, I decided I need to make up for lost time.  Here is another project using the Chef set.  I just love this guy.  This is also a Loralie Designs set.  I used the Wonky Rectangles die cut from Spellbinders and embossed with the Retro Kitchen Cuttlebug folder,

This weeks project

This weeks project is a scrapbook page using the Seasiders stamp set from Loralie Designs.  There are 2 stamps in this set and they are both cute!  I also used SEI's paper pack called On the Coast.  Love it!
The die cut is from Scrap-Marts exclusive Spellbinders collection.  I colored the sea side lady with Copic Markers.

This weeks project

This is an oh so cute project I made for a vendor fair in Boston.  Here's how it's done.... 1st I stamped the purse image from the Loralie Designs "pretty purses" set.  I enlarged the design 150% and printed it on my  ink jet printer.  Next I made a mirror image print for the other side.  I colored each side with Copic Markers.  I also printed out the flower image and colored separately so I could layer it for depth.  I attached each side to a small, white paper bag that I cut down to 3" tall.  Add glitter and tissue and you have a great gift bag for your friends!

More to come!

I'll be posting new photos to the gallery over the next week.  I'll have cards and projects from several stamp companies.

This weeks project

My goal is to post a new project each week.  Since this is my first project post, I am posting today but I want to post the new projects on Monday of each week.  I'm calling it Project Monday.  This has been one of my most popular  Loralie Designs projects I've made.  The bride is overlapping the groom where you open the card.  I've colored with Copic Markers and used patterned papers from Quick Quotes.  The marker colors I've used are ... ROO, RV11, RV20, E23, E55, YR31, YR24, V20, V23, B02, E04, W1, T0, T1, T3, C5, C7

Classes are posted and photos are going into the gallery!

It's official!

My blog is finally up and running.  Just like I have been lately.  I have had a blast at the recent stamp and scrapbook shows!  I have met so many people and enjoyed each and every one of them.  I'm excited to have a place to post all the news, photos and updates.
